Cocoa mikshake

Introduction

Cold cocoa milkshake can quench your thirst on a sunny day. It is filling. I experienced that this reduces acidity too. It is healthy and easy to make.

Give it to your kids everyday. They will finish it very quickly. You don't have to run behind them or coax them :)

Ingredients

  • Chilled cow milk - 250ml (I usually boil cow milk and keep it in my fridge. If you do not prefer cold milk, use milk with room temperature)
  • Cocoa powder - 2 table spoons (I buy Cadbury or WeiKFiELD cocoa powder. This doesn't contain any sweetener.)
  • Jaggery powder* - 1 table spoon or per your taste (you can use sugar also but I prefer jaggery as it is healthy and a source of iron)
  • Cardamom powder - pinch (this is optional)
*At times, I use 4 or 5 seedless dates instead of jaggery/sugar.

How to prepare?
Put all the ingredients in a mixer jar and whip them for about 5 minutes. Taste it and if required add the respective ingredient.

How to serve?
I feel, presentation is a very important part. Whether you are serving it to yourself or to others, never compromise on this. )

Pour the yummy milkshake in a long glass container. You can sprinkle pinch of cocoa powder or some sliced pista/almonds (non-salty).

Cook eat share

Being a foodie, I love to taste different varieties of food. Every time I eat something, I try to guess the ingredients and method of cooking. If the cook is available, I ask the recipe too :)

I feel kitchen is like a lab where you can experiment with food. As an Indian, I feel proud of the huge variety of food available here.

Through this blog, I would like to share recipes, some facts about food etc. I welcome your feedback and suggestions :)
